1. Scope and publisher
This policy applies to the multilingual ChronoGrid mobile game (com.edz.chronogrid) and its player-information website. “We” and “us” refer to Eray Dinler, the developer and publisher identified on the App Store or Google Play listing.
2. Information involved
Game progress stored on your device
Each App stores your completed journey count, next puzzle seed, previously seen puzzle identifiers, wins, best score, onboarding status, music and sound-effect preferences, advertising frequency counters, and a cached ad-free entitlement locally on your device. We do not receive this information. Removing the App normally removes this local progress, subject to your device backup settings.
Advertising
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads for a fixed home-screen banner, a full-screen ad after each completed puzzle when an ad is available, and an optional rewarded ad that unlocks one solo-play hint. ChronoGrid uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to present privacy choices where required and requests ads only when that platform reports that ads may be requested. Google and its advertising partners may process IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to provide, limit, secure, and measure ads.
ChronoGrid does not force one advertising mode on iOS. Google Mobile Ads applies the consent choices collected through UMP and other available regional and platform signals. ChronoGrid does not request IDFA access, does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt, and does not track activity across other companies’ apps or websites. Advertising and consent choices can be reviewed from Remove Ads → Ad Choices (or the localized equivalent).
Store purchases
If you buy the one-time ad-free product, Apple or Google processes the payment and account information. ChronoGrid receives product and transaction status needed to grant or restore the entitlement. We do not receive your payment-card details. Purchases are tied to ChronoGrid and the platform store; they do not transfer between Apple and Google unless the store explicitly provides that entitlement.
iOS Game Center duels
On iOS, Apple Game Center authenticates players, presents matchmaking, and carries match traffic. The applicable App exchanges a random match nonce while establishing the connection to determine a consistent player order; it does not read or store a Game Center player identifier for that purpose. The game exchanges an app-generated alias, puzzle identifier, moves, turns, and scores through the Game Center match. The Apps do not display a Game Center name in their own game screens and do not send match data to a developer-operated game server. Apple may display and process Game Center account information under Apple’s privacy terms.
Android Nearby duels
On Android, Google Nearby Connections helps two nearby devices using the same App discover and connect. A fixed, app-generated family-friendly alias, puzzle identifier, moves, turns, and scores are exchanged between the paired devices for the live duel. Players cannot submit custom names, chat, images, voice, or other free-form content. We do not receive or retain this match data on a server.
Google states that the Nearby SDK may collect technical analytics such as discovery and connection performance, reliability, throughput, device model, country, app build version, and package name. Google processes this information to provide and improve Nearby Connections under Google’s privacy terms; it is not combined by us with your local puzzle progress.
Support requests
If you use the support form, we receive the email address, optional name, selected topic, and message you submit. Netlify processes the form on our behalf. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive personal information.
3. Device permissions
Android Nearby duels may ask for Bluetooth, nearby-device, Wi-Fi, and—on older Android versions—location permission because Android historically used location permission for Bluetooth discovery. The applicable App uses these permissions only to find and connect to a nearby opponent. It does not read, save, or send your physical location to us.
4. Why information is used
- Provide puzzles, progress, purchases, advertising, and multiplayer features.
- Restore an ad-free entitlement through the platform store.
- Show privacy choices and comply with legal obligations.
- Prevent fraud, diagnose failures, and maintain service security.
- Answer support requests.
5. Service providers and disclosure
Information may be processed by Apple, Google, and Netlify for the services described above. A player who starts or joins a duel intentionally sends the structured match data described above to the paired player through the applicable platform service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the game, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention
Local game progress remains until you clear App data or remove the App. A duel may update the local played-puzzle history, win count, and best score described above. Each App keeps live moves, turns, scores, and transport payloads only in memory for the live match; the participating devices and platform provider handle transmission. Store transaction records are retained by Apple or Google under their policies. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, resolve related issues, meet legal requirements, and prevent abuse.
7. Your choices and rights
- Review advertising choices from the app’s Ad Choices control.
- Report an inappropriate or age-inappropriate ad from Remove Ads → Report an Ad.
- Remove advertising by buying the one-time ad-free product.
- Deny Nearby permissions and continue using AI and Pass & Play modes.
- Manage Game Center and store settings through your Apple or Google account.
- Delete local progress by clearing App data or uninstalling the applicable App.
- Use the support form to request access to or deletion of information contained in a support request.
Privacy rights vary by location. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law and may need to verify the request.
8. Children
ChronoGrid is intended for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information may contact us through the support page so it can be removed.
9. Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information involved. Platform duel traffic uses the security provided by Game Center or Nearby Connections, including the Nearby pairing-code confirmation. No system is completely secure. Apple, Google, and Netlify may process information in countries other than your own under their legal and contractual safeguards.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when ChronoGrid, service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised date will appear above. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the support page.
